Apple Fitness+ represents the gold standard of premium fitness app design. If you're already invested in Apple's ecosystem—iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch—this is a natural extension that integrates seamlessly into your digital life.
The yoga section features 300+ classes taught by accomplished instructors with clear cueing and thoughtful progression. Classes are organised by level, duration, and focus area. Production values are high: excellent lighting, multiple camera angles, and music that complements rather than dominates.
What sets Apple Fitness+ apart is the health integration. Each completed session syncs to Apple Health, your Apple Watch tracks metrics, and the app celebrates milestones. This gamification element works wonderfully for practitioners who enjoy motivation through achievement.
The limitation is the Apple ecosystem requirement. Unlike apps that run anywhere, Fitness+ requires at minimum an iPhone or iPad. The library is also smaller than YouTube but more carefully curated than Down Dog's algorithm-generated classes.
